Together with collaborators both within and outside Yale School of Architecture, the PhD program attempts to bring together discourse from a range of disciplines and pedagogies. To provoke critical thinking in architectural history and theory, active students in the department contribute towards two concurrent public presentation series. In collaboration with PhD students in the Department of the History of Art at Yale, Forum allows for an exchange of interdisciplinary topics, with invited speakers from across Yale’s peer institutions. In parallel, the department hosts Dialogues, which gives current students and faculty an opportunity to share thoughts on developing work within an informal conversation format. Presentations hosted by the PhD program supplement YSOA’s Lecture Series, as run by the Dean of the School of Architecture. Unless otherwise noted, all events are open to the public.
